What does Ozonos do?
Ozonos neutralizes airborne pollutants by mimicking nature's purification processes. Using UV-C light, it generates controlled ozone (O₃ – active oxygen) that reacts with and oxidizes contaminants – eliminating or breaking down up to 99% of:

How does
negative ionization work?
Negative ionization describes the process in which atoms or molecules
(mostly oxygen) gain an extra electron and become negatively charged – creating negative ions (e.g., O₂⁻).
In nature, this happens, for example, at waterfalls, during thunderstorms, or in forests: Energy (e.g., from friction or UV light) releases electrons from molecules and charges the air.
These negative ions act like "air vitamins":

They bind to positively charged pollutants (e.g., dust, pollen, smoke particles), make them heavier, and cause them to sink to the ground or neutralize them.

How does Ozonos produce negative ions as a byproduct?
Ozonos is based on UV-C technology that generates ozone to oxidize pollutants. As a byproduct of this process, negative ions are produced: The UV energy ionizes oxygen molecules, shifting the ion balance from approx. 50/50 (positive/negative) to up to 70% negative ions. This is a natural effect, similar to a thunderstorm where ozone and negative ions work together.
This byproduct enhances cleaning: While ozone attacks pollutants, negative ions bind the remnants (e.g., fine dust) and refresh the air. Ozonos even has modes that maximize this ion effect without exceeding harmful ozone levels (TÜV-certified for safe values).
When the air is clean, you may sometimes notice a light, fresh ozone scent – the signal that the process is complete.
